Zurich, Switzerland was, is, and will always be one of my favorite countries that I have ever traveled to. This stop was Judith's suggestion, with the main stop being the Swiss Alps. Although we didn't make to the Alps because of the weather, every second in Switzerland still felt surreal.
A Day in Zurich,
Zurich is a slow, peaceful city, and even more so in the subtle rain. I wore this gorgeous Prabal Gurung blouse and we went wander the streets. We went chocolate tasting then had tea at Bovelli. On our hours long stroll through the city we stumbled upon Bahnhoffstrasse. Bahnhoffstrasse is renowned as one of the most luxurious and expensive shopping streets in the world, and rightly so. If I wasn't in a sober state of mind I would have blown through all my in case of emergency trip funds at Bally and Dior as they are my all time favorite designer ateliers.

This city is also filled with amazing restaurants! On the night we arrived we were starving and it was too cold to go out. We ordered Indian takeout and requested it be delivered to our apartment. It took 3 people plus the owner to deliver the food which was the funniest and most memorable experience. My sister had placed the order using her US phone number and when they called the call would not go through. The owner kept resending the employees to deliver our order until he finally came and found us.
We had another amazing dining experience at Hitl. Hitl is dubbed as one of the world's best vegetarian restaurants, and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing, and I can't possibly emphasize that enough! When presented an opportunity to visit Switzerland, this restaurant is a stop you don't want to miss out on. While you're here, indulge in Swiss chocolate! Swiss chocolate is an out of this world experience. If you've never had a mouthgasm you will when you when you visit one of their chocolatier's.
One of the things that captivated me about this city was the water and canals that divides parts of the city. I have a clip that I shared on my Stories highlights that captured a glimpse of it. I loved how green, and sustainable the city is, and the warmth of the people. As our day adventures were coming to an end, we met a couple in the street. Coincidentally it was the wife's birthday! We talked with them for a while, and sang her happy birthday in the streets of Bahnhofstrasse. These were some of the memories we created that constantly reverberate in my mind and my heart. I could write endlessly about Switzerland but to keep it short and sweet, Zurich felt like home.
